4. WhatsApp and Meta

Sentinel Cook is delivered via the WhatsApp Business API, operated by Meta Platforms, Inc. By using WhatsApp, you are also subject to WhatsApp's Privacy Policy and Meta's Data Policy. We have no control over how Meta processes data transmitted through the WhatsApp platform.

Food photos you send are transmitted to our processing servers over encrypted channels and are not stored permanently after a response has been generated, unless we are required to retain them for abuse investigation or legal compliance.

5. Data Retention

Message content and food photos are retained for a maximum of 30 days after the conversation in which they were sent, after which they are deleted from our systems. Aggregated, anonymised usage statistics (no personal identifiers) may be retained indefinitely for service improvement purposes.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following categories of third-party services to operate Sentinel Cook:

• AI / machine-learning APIs — for dish recognition and recipe generation. Photos and text are processed by these services subject to their own data processing agreements.
• Cloud infrastructure — for hosting, storage, and message routing.
